jim, great tales … a true vision quest experience. I don’t have this particular yen but the man-vs-nature, goal striving aspects of your story were inspirational. It also seemed to me that you can take the man out of the infantry, but you can’t take the infantry out of the man. Fun read … book in here for sure. joe

Are you kidding. Everest is a trash heap and absolutely NOT an individual effort. I have Alaska and Chile in mind, but nothing worth doing is a solo effort. Searching for qualified partners as we speak.
